Memorial Day
So this has been by far the hardest Memorial Day I've ever had. I kinda went through it without being there. Does that make any since what so ever? My mother and I have always gone over to our families graves and put flowers down and talked about who the were and all that jazz. Well this year I did it without my mother. Joe along with the kids went with me but it wasn't the same. First off I can't remember who half of these people are. I know the names and where they are laid to rest but I don't know how they are related to me. Even with my mother going over who they are year after year I didn't actually think I would need to retain this info for many many years to come. And for the fact that we actually hadn't been for the past 2 years didn't help. I felt horrible the last 2 years for not going, but I had just had a baby last year and the year before that we were out of town. I mean I don't have anyone around to actually tell me who they are anymore. How am I going to pass this on to my kids? Of course I know like grandparents and great grandparents but passed that I don't know. I know the names and that's it. It also made it harder for me that I don't have a "place" to honor my mother. She wanted to be cremated and so we respected that. My sister and brother and I all agreed we would take apart of her. She is in my home but I don't feel like its enough. I want others to know her as well be able to have that place. Because I know that when I lost my great grandmother it was comforting to have that place. This has been a hard couple of days as the 23rd was her birthday and then today. I smile for all the joy she gave and cry for all the joy I will miss. I also lost a friend when we were 19. He was a wonderful person through and through. I hadn't been to his grave site in about 3 years. When I went today it was hard, because on his headstone is his senior picture. He was so young, and was full of promise and it kinda hit me about how my life has changed since then (6 years) and how he will forever remain that age.

Friday Feast
So I haven't done a Friday Feast since the first time I did one (it was a while back). So I thought I would do it again. And happens again? The host is gone again, how strange is that? So I am using Tina's guestions. So here it goes
Appetizer: Wii, Playstation or XBox? Umm unless you've been living under a rock you have to know that Wii is the best ever! We got one back in Jan and love it so much. I would love to get the Wii Fitness Game. I'll wait until we move because who am I kidding I don't have time for that right now.
Soup: Would you ever go skydiving?
You know I think I would. I have always wanted to do it, and even though I have kids and I feel as if it would be an pretty big risk. Isn't that what life is all about?
Salad: Name a sequel that you think is better than the original movie.
Oh my I have no idea.
Main Course: Share your most wonderful birthday celebration.
I would have to say when I turned 7 and had my birthday in a caboose of a train! It was the coolest thing to do at the time and I got to do it:)
Dessert: If you dare, post a picture of yourself making a silly face.
Being silling on our St. Louis trip

Heads Up
Ok so I wanted to say "Heads Up Seven Up" that was such a great game in school. BUT that is not why I am here. I am here to tell EVERYONE about a great giveaway. Kristin from An Ordinary Life is giving away a Dyson Ball vacuum cleaners. Yes you read that right, a Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner. So you better head on over if you would like the chance to win one of your own!!!!
Oh and you won't have to compete with my entry as I'm not entering this giveaway. I already have a Dyson and I beyond LOVE IT. We got it when we had our 2 dogs and I never knew how dirty my floors really were until I used my dyson. It picks everything up and really does not ever clog. Plus its just fun to use, yup I said it I like to vaccum:)

I am so proud of myself
Ok so I am a normal woman and I gained some weight when I was preggo. And like a lot of other normal women it didn't just melt off 20mins after giving birth. In my case most of it stuck around for 3.5 years (due to me being lazy about it). But something amazing happened last night. I went and bought jeans in SINGLE digits!!!!! Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the size I got were 7/8's. I haven't worn that size for like 4-5 years. I have worked hard to get where I am now. I still have some ways to go but I want to shout this from the roof tops (my key board is that for me right now as my neighbors might call the cops if I were to do something like that LOL)
This is also a YOU CAN DO IT to every person out there who is on this same bumpy, hilly, happy, upsetting road that I am on. I had times where I wasn't losing any weight and I got upset at myself about that. But I was able to get back up and get going. For my total goal weight I need to loose another 18lbs to go. I'm sure at that point I'll set another goal for myself but right now when I get to that point you'll all know it :)

What a week
OK so I know I have been a BAD BAD Blogger, but I have hardly sat down at all this week. Well I have at work but I don't think they would like it if I was blogging on their dime. (wouldn't that be nice lol). Here is what has happened in the last week. Our computer got a virus from some A-HOLE who posted on my blog!! So it was in the shop from Thur-Monday. Then on Tues, we worked on the house got a lot of painting done. Aidan's room is now FIRE ENGINE RED!! (oh and if anyone knows where I can get pirate themed bedding and stuff like that, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg PLEASE share!!!) Then on Wed not much other than the normal everyday work, take care of kids, clean the house stuff. Then Yesterday we took Aidan to see some specialist about his behavior. Pretty much this was to "hold" us over until his real appt in Sept. They pretty much didn't do anything or say anything that we didn't know. But then again we didn't see the behavioral specialist either. I don't see how in the world a doctor could actually be booked 5-6 months in advance. Honestly is this the ONLY doctor in the state of Iowa to actually do this? Then today I worked, then came home when little Miss Kayleigh woke up we went and bought a table for outside since her party is on Sunday and I have nothing for people to put drinks or cake down on. Then we went and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening at the park.
BUT here is my GREAT NEWS, I finally got my mother's day present and it is a Nikon D60!!! So I had lots of fun taking shots of the kids all day long. Pretty sure they were sick of being blinded by the time I put it away. I am going to have to really study up on this camera so I can use it to its full power. I think I might take a class at our local community college to help me out. Tomorrow is going to be spent cleaning the inside and the outside getting ready for Kayleigh's party that is on Sunday. I am quite upset with people and them not coming to her party, but I guess whatever. At least she's only 1 and doesn't know any better, and she'll have fun playing in her cake.

Skin MD Natural. is a product I had never heard about another blogger wrote about them. And from her review of this product, I knew I had to try it out.(Thanks Gina!!) So after contacting the great people at Skin MD Natural. I was lucky enough to get a free sample. I am so glad that I was able to do this, I love this stuff. I have been using it now for 2 days and my hands feel 1000 times better than they ever have.
What is a Shielding Lotion you ask?
"Shielding lotion is a lotion that forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better. It is a big advantage that shielding lotions are light and go on without a greasy mess," says Dr. Brian Zogg, a dermatologist in Albert Lea, MN. "When you have dry, itchy skin you know that the protective outer layer of skin has been stripped away. The artificial moisturizers in conventional creams and lotions can send a signal to the moisture producing parts of your skin that enough moisture is present. Your skin then makes less of the natural moisture needed to resolve a dry skin problem. With a shielding lotion you protect your own natural oils and moisture in the skin, so it heals faster," says Dr. Zogg

Even with winter coming to an end I will still be using this lotion everyday on my hands. (You can use it for your face and body as well) I am always washing my hands between diaper changes, helping a 3 year old to the bathroom, and working with the general public. I have had times before where I washed my hands so much they would be cracked and bleeding. And other lotions did nothing for them. My hands were not as bad to where they were cracked and bleeding but I could tell as soon as I put it on it was like no other lotion I had ever tried. What I love most is the fact you don't get the greasy feeling. I can't stand when you put a lotion on and feel as if you need to wipe them off because of a greasy residue. Oh and for the fact when they say "A little goes a long way" they mean it!
